Thursday, Hamlin Chessman proved his diversity in Denmark, beating the highly favoured sprinters to the line in “Beat Cup Jimmi” A race with no cobblestone streets at all. With the support of Davin Wann and Luke McColl Hamlin has now won 3 of his last 5 races and appears to have more success coming his way on day 79 where he is favoured to contend for victory in Ukraine before flying to Uganda for his second cobble race of the day.
“I believe I can win both races.” Said Chessman. “They are both perfectly suited to my skills and I think I am in good enough physical condition to pull it off.”
Alberta 1 manager, Sean Edward, Stated that he believes his captain can accomplish his goal of two victories, but that he would be content with a couple of top five finishes.
Apart from Chessman’s heroics, some people have also noted the appearance of Australian star, Marc Moore, on Alberta 1’s roster. Marc is a very accomplished cycling veteran who has raced for some very high profile teams, such as Telec@m and FFL. He is currently racing for the Australian National team and had planned to race with “Team Australia” in the upcoming World Tour event in Amsterdam, however when the entry deadline came, the Australian team was not signed up. Rumours are flying that the Australian national manager simply forgot to enter his team while on his annual winter vacation in… well… Australia. But this has not been confirmed.
When questioned about this huge hiring, Sean commented: “The whole team is very excited to have such a distinguished rider displaying Alberta 1 colours, We believe that Moore will be instrumental for helping Chessman lead our rapidly expanding team, as well as mentoring our future sprinting captain, Davin Wann… Moore brings a wealth of experience to our relatively young team. We are all learning together and Marc will help us with so many aspects of our programme.”
“I would also like to extend a special thank you to Noppes of NECFTW, without his monetary sacrifice we would simply have not had the resources to secure Moore. NECFTW will defiantly be considered a “foreign friend of SNAOTR” along with redop and other teams located outside of North America who have been friendly towards the North American Trading Relationship."
